HOKKED ON INNOVATION
by: Carl Hooker
This blog is a great example on why people should not judge a book by its cover. It says that no matter what generation you are from, there are things underneath your stereotype. Carl Hooker has multiple points supporting the Millennial generation and Generation X. Some of his points are about technology, selfishness, brain smarts, and what they have to offer. Mr. Hooker starts his blog with the reality that all generations work together, and he mentions that he has had many conversations with people who are retired. Next, his blog is split into common expectations that people have of the younger generation. One example that stood out to me was what he said under the topic, "...It makes them anti-social." Our phones can make us anti-social, but Mr. Hooker had a great point that newspapers can make us anti-social as well. He also said, "As with anything in life, balance is the Key." This is very true and should be passed onto each generation when it comes to technology. His was very nice to read and it explains how easy it can be to assume things or stereotypes, when we should look at the actual person as an individual. Also, his blog gives readers positive ways to involve technology instead of ban it all together. If you want to know more, click on the link below!
